Main reasons for care home staff to leave their position in England 2021
In 2021, staff retention was rather challenging for care homes providers in England. According to this survey conducted from September to October 2021, the main reasons for challenging staff retention in care homes were the better pay, conditions, and the COVID-19 vaccine requirements. In this survey, roughly 26 percent of responding providers believed that the better remuneration elsewhere outside of the care sector was the main reason for their staff retention challenges.
