A survey conducted in May 2021 asked Canadian shoppers if they thought social platforms were a better place to find out about new products than online searches. Some 56 percent of Gen Z shoppers answered affirmatively, while 52 percent of Millennials gave the same answer.

The study was conducted by combining Foresight Factory's proprietary data methodologies and existing trends intelligence, with newly commissioned quantitative and qualitative research across 12 global markets, including 1,657 Canadian respondents, in May 2021, with interlocking quotas set for age and gender.
