The share of buy now, pay later (BNPL) users who have fallen behind one or more payments in the United States has remained relatively stable between 2022 and 2023. Additionally, around 24 percent of U.S. adults saw their credit score decrease as a result of missed or late BNPL payments. That figure just amounted to 19 percent in April 2022.
