Support for an international treaty to combat plastic pollution in Europe 2021
The majority of adults surveyed across 10 countries in Europe in 2021 believed it was essential, very important, or fairly important to have an international treaty to combat plastic pollution. The largest share of adults who believed such a treaty was essential was in Italy, at 45 percent. Spain followed, with 43 percent of adults believing a treaty on plastic pollution was essential.
