Germany: smartphone activities 2021-2022

According to a survey of smartphone users conducted between July 2021 and June 2022 in Germany, chatting or sending messages was one of the most common activities on mobile with over seven in 10 users reporting to do so. Additionally, 55 percent of respondents reported using their mobile phones to buy products, listen to music, online banking, and read the news. Gaming was reported as an activity to engage with on smartphones by approximately 36 percent of the surveyed respondents in Germany in the examined period.
