Distribution of grocery shopping channels used Australia 2022, by age group
A survey conducted in 2022 among Australian shoppers revealed that the preferred grocery shopping channel among all age groups was in-store, with over 70 percent of those aged 55 to 65 years old shopping exclusively in-store. Shopping for groceries mainly in-store and partly online was the next most popular option among respondents, with 43 percent of those aged 16 to 34 grocery shopping in this way.
