On average, the category with the highest share of advertised online products out of stock in 2022 was vehicles and parts at more than 57 percent, significantly more than other consumer goods. Software, on the other hand, had less than one percent of its products out of stock on average, and more than 11 percent available for preorder (the largest share of all listed categories) in 2022.
