Between the first half of 2021 and the first half of 2022, there was a significant shift in the composition of shopping carts among consumers in Brazil. In the former period, industrialized processed foods were present in almost 78 percent of consumer's shopping carts, reaching the 81 percent in the latter period. In contrast, vegetables declined, being present in just over 42 percent of shopping carts in 2021, to a little over 39 percent in 2022.
