As of 2022, Lebanon required 560 million U.S. dollars in assistance amongst countries where the UNHCR distributes zakat funds through its Refugee Zakat Program. Syria had the second highest need at 466 million USD. Tunisia, the country with the lowest need, required an additional 8.5 million USD in assistance.
