That was approximately four times more the number of jazz music concerts that took place in Italy in the selected year. The numbers have to be seen in the context of the coronavirus pandemic during which nearly no concerts were being hosted.

The profile of the pop music listener in Italy

In 2019, pop music was particularly listened in Italy among individuals aged between 16 and 34. On the other hand, Italian pop music – namely pop music sung in Italian – was more popular among individuals aged between 35 and 44 as of 2019.
