Annual production value of feature films in the Netherlands 2011-2021
In 2021, the sum of the budgets of films produced or co-produced by organizations in the Netherlands added up to almost 126 million euros, up 45 percent from little more than 87 million euros a year earlier. Still, compared to the 2019 (therefore pre-pandemic) production value, the 2021 figure decreased by 11 percent. The number of Dutch movies selected at international film festivals increased by nearly nine percent in 2021.
