According to the 2019 survey, 34 percent of Finns in the age group of 16 to 24 years increased the time they spent on social media in the past 12 months. In comparison, the corresponding figure among 55 to 64-year-olds in Finland was ten percent. In total, social media usage in all age groups increased by 16 percent as of 2019.
