In Italy, newspaper expenditure in 2020 amounted to 1.29 billion euros. This was a drop of 12 percent from the 1.46 billion euros recorded in the previous year. Magazine expenditure in Italy also fell year over year, decreasing by over 26 percent between 2019 and 2020.
