Zara is the flagship brand of the Inditex Group, whose other brands include Bershka, Pull & Bear, and Zara Home. The first international market which Zara expanded into was neighboring Portugal. However, this was followed by the opening of a store in the United States soon after. In the years that followed, Zara stores popped up throughout Europe, North America, and the rest of the world. The first Zara Home store was opened in 2003, focusing more on the homewares and home furnishings market. As of 2017, there were over 2,000 Zara stores and over 500 Zara Home stores in operation around the world. Unsurprisingly, Zara was one of the most valuable clothing brands on the planet as of 2018.
