Supplementary notes
* The global ranking of the Made-In Country Index shows the average rating reached by countries all over the world. Respondents answered the following question "On a lot of products you can find a label stating where the product was made. How do you feel about products labeled with…?" " on a 5-level scale.
The Index is calculated based on a comparison of the share of respondents who answered "slightly positive" and "very positive" (Top 2). It counts the average weighted value reached by the respective countries. All values are scaled so the first rank receives Index 100. The import volume of the respective countries was added as a weighing factor (most recent WHO data at the time of analysis). This means that Germany's share of total index is 12 percent, with an import volume of 1,139 billion U.S. dollars, while Canada's share is 4 percent with an import volume of 482 billion U.S. dollars.
