Female entrepreneurship in Italy 2000-2020
Between 2000 and 2020, the popularity of female entrepreneurship in Italy declined. According to data, in fact, in 2000 the number of female owners of individual enterprises registered at the Italian Chambers of Commerce was equal to almost 876 thousand. By 2020, this figure decreased to 829 thousand. The highest figure was recorded in 2005, when almost 890 thousand females owned individual enterprises in the country.
