This statistic shows the share of domestic cheese of the total amount of cheese consumed in Sweden from 2008 to 2018. During this period of time, the domestic cheese consumption rate decreased significantly. In 2008, the share of domestic cheese of the total amount of cheese consumed in Sweden amounted to almost 66 percent. After that, the consumption decreased over the years, amounting to merely approximately 42 percent in 2018. Major dairy firms producing cheese in Sweden include Arla Foods, Skånemejerier and Norrmejerier.
