This statistic shows the market share of SVOD services in the Nordic countries in the 4th quarter of 2016. At the time of the survey, Netflix was the market leader accounting for 46 percent of the SVOD service market. The second largest share albeit only roughly half of that of Netflix was held by Viaplay. Other SVOD services in the Nordic market include HBO Nordic and C More. At the end of 2016 as well as in 2017, the launch of Amazon Prime in the Nordics is expected to intensify the competition between the subscription video on demand services.
