In 2017, registrations of new motorcycles decreased with approximately 1,800 compared to the previous year. Roughly 21,000 motor bikes were registered in 2017, compared to nearly 23,000 in 2016, a decline of around nine percent according to a European source.

Motorcycle industry takes up but a small part of Belgium’s vehicle industry

The total revenue of Belgium’s vehicle industry amounted to around 135 billion euros, with roughly 92 billion euros coming from car trade. The trade and repair of motorcycles lead to a revenue of roughly 865 million euros.
