England: usable floor area in social sector homes 2019, by tenure
The share of social sector homes in England can be categorized by usable floor space in square meter and by tenure. As of 2019, 33.7 percent of local authority dwellings were 70 to 89 meters squared. For housing association dwellings, the most frequent size was shared equally between 50-69 meters squared meters accounting for 36.4 percent. This is a stark difference to owner occupied homes in England, of which the largest share had a usable floor area of 110 square meters or more in 2019 (36 percent).
