The source adds the following information; "Total annual captures by EU Member States, Iceland and Norway, as well as by the main other fishing countries in the Mediterranean. This area, referred to by FAO as the "main fishing area 37", includes the Mediterranean Sea and the adjacent Black Sea. Data are expressed as live weight equivalent of landed products. This weight is that of the product outside the water. Products that were not landed for various reasons are excluded. "
