Wakame production volume in Japan 2013-2022
In 2021, the wakame seaweed output of Japanese marine aquacultures amounted to approximately 47 thousand tons, the second lowest amount of the past decade. Within the observed period, the wakame seaweed production volume peaked in 2013, 2017 and 2018 at around 51 thousand tons each.
