This statistic displays the average carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions from new diesel passenger cars in the European Union (EU-28) from 2000 to 2016 in grams of carbon dioxide per kilometer (g CO2/km). It shows that emissions of carbon dioxide remained at a similar level from 2000 to 2007. From 2008, emissions have been steadily decreasing, dropping from 151.2 g CO2/km to 116.8 g CO2/km in 2016.
