The median venture capital (VC) deal size for all series increased between 2010 and 2022 in Europe with some fluctuation. Venture capital investors were far more willing to invest more in companies that were nearing initial public offering (IPO) stage than those that were still in seed stage. As of 2022, the median deal size in Europe at the seed stage was 1.2 million U.S. dollars, and reached 30 million U.S. dollars for series B rounds.
