The leading type of divestment in terms of amount of share of the amount of venture capital divested in 2020 in Central and Eastern Europe was the trade sale. This type of venture capital exit amounted to 58.8 percent of all exits. In 2020, public offerings amounted to 24.5 percent of capital divestments. The return of approximately 2.2 percent of the investments was considered unlikely or impossible and was categorized as write-offs.
