Distribution of venture capital divestment value in Europe 2021, by exit route
In 2021, more than half of the value of venture capital exits in Europe occurred by way of trade sale. This was followed by public offerings at 12 percent. Only three percent of the value of exits by venture capital firms occurred by sale to a financial institution.
