Brazilian people involved in early-stage entrepreneurship activities were mainly doing it to earn a living. According to a survey, almost 82 percent of the women managing businesses that were in operation for 42 months or less in Brazil somewhat or strongly agreed this was the motivation that led them to entrepreneurship, whereas 81.8 percent of the men surveyed answered the same. Brazilian male entrepreneurs were more prone to starting their own business to build great wealth than their female counterparts.
