Number of fintech startups in Brazil 2017-2022
The number of fintech startups in Brazil increased sharply between 2017 and 2022. In 2022, there were 855 active fintechs in Brazil, 20 more than in the previous year. During the observed period, the number of fintechs in the country increased by more than 600. In 2022, Brazil accounted for the highest share of fintech startups in Latin America, with almost 30 percent of all fintech startups in the region having operated in Brazil.
