Office leasing as a share of the historical quarterly average 2020-2022, by region
Leasing activity in the office real estate sector plummeted in the second quarter of 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic. Although the leasing volumes have been growing since, the sector is far from recovering from the pandemic. In the third quarter of 2022, the gross leasing volume of office real estate globally stood 18 percent below the average for the same quarter between 2017 and 2019.
