This statistic shows the share of American adults in 2017 who consider themselves spiritual but not religious. The results were sorted by age. According to the source, the respondents were asked two separate questions: “Do you think of yourself as a religious person, or not?” and “Do you think of yourself as a spiritual person, or not?” The results shown are the product of combining responses. During the survey, 30 percent of respondents aged 30 to 49 years stated they identify as spiritual but not religious.
