Distribution of film exhibition companies in Peru 2021, by share of revenue
As of December 2021, Cineplex S.A. (also known as Cineplanet) accounted for about 48 percent of the revenue of movie theaters across Peru. Cinemark and Cinestar followed, holding around 24 and 13 percent of the cinema market revenue, respectively. The number of cinema screens at Cineplanet theaters grew by 75 percent between 2013 and 2022. The company is run by Lima-based Grupo Intercorp and also operates in Chile.
