Cinema attendance in Colombia 2000-2021
In 2021, movie theaters across Colombia sold approximately 27.8 million tickets, up from 12.6 million a year earlier - an annual increase of over 120 percent. Despite the growth, the 2021 figure amounted to less than 40 percent of the record-high 73 million movie tickets sold in 2019, before the COVID-19 pandemic. The number of cinema screens in Colombia also went up in 2021.
