Cinema attendance in Argentina 2014-2021
Throughout 2021, movie theaters across Argentina sold 13.3 million tickets, up from 8.6 million a year earlier – an annual increase of about 55 percent. Yet the 2021 figure amounts to less than 30 percent of the nearly 47 million movie tickets sold in 2019, before the COVID-19 outbreak. Box office revenue in Argentina also remained below the values recorded in 2019 and 2018.
