Cinema attendance in Peru 2015-2021
In 2021, movie theaters in Peru sold 7.6 million tickets, down from 9.8 million in the previous year – an annual decrease of over 20 percent. Compared to the cinema attendance of 53.4 million recorded before the pandemic, in 2019, there was a decline of about 86 percent. Still, Peru ranked sixth by cinema attendance in Latin America in 2021.
