Overall online commerce gathers momentum each holiday season. According to data provided by comScore
, there has been an overall increase of 17 percent year-over-year 2015 to 2016, from $68 billion to $80.2 billion that were spent online between November 1 and December 31. Mobile commerce has gained more than desktop commerce, up 44 and 12 percent respectively. Mobile spending now accounts for 22 percent of dollars spent online.
