Over the last few years, the world has seen the beginning of what may turn out to be the electric vehicle revolution. As our infographic shows, this trend certainly hasn't evaded Sweden, either. When looking at battery-powered passenger cars, there has been a rise from 676 registered in the country in Q1 2013 to 10,565 almost five years later, in Q4 of 2017.
The companies currently dominating this market are Tesla and Nissan. According to the latest figures from Elbilsstatistik.se, there are over 2,700 of Tesla's Model S on Swedish roads, and almost the same amount of Nissan's electric offering, the Leaf.
