T-Mobile announced yesterday
that a data breach occurred last week, where personal data from 2 million customers’ were stolen. Hackers and data breaches
now top CEO’s and C-level suite executives’ top worries when it comes to managing businesses
in the 21st century.
Despite the mounting concerns and increasing attacks, many cybersecurity jobs go unfilled with the demand for qualified worker outpacing the supply of them. The Supply-Demand ratio is almost three times lower for the cybersecurity field as it is for the national average, with a lower ratio indicating a shortage of workers. States with the highest ratio for cybersecurity workers include Alabama, Delaware, and Colorado.
