Midterm Elections
People are hitting the ballot box all day today for the midterm elections. This is shaping up to be a pivotal midterm year, with voting intention high across all parties.
Democratic and Republican voters don’t see eye to eye on many major issues. Based on polling conducted by Gallup, about three-quarters of Democrats rated climate change as a very or extremely important issue, while less than a third of Republicans rated that issue as highly. One of the smallest divides in partisan importance was on the economy, with about 85 percent of Republicans rating it very or extremely important and about 72 percent of Democrats giving it the same rating.
