British children struggle to name common wildlife and plants
Children
65 percent were not able to identify a blue tit, a bird species commonly found in British gardens. More than half of the 1,000 children polled wee also unable to name stinging nettles. It isn't all bleak unawareness thankfully with nearly a quarter saying they knew what a conker looks like while 97 percent were able to identify a fox.
