According to Akamai, the U.S. is still lagging behind other countries worldwide when it comes to adopting high speed Internet
. That's defined as a connection of at least 10 megabits per second and those countries include Latvia and Switzerland. South Korea is at the very top for lightning fast broadband with a 77% penetration rate of 10+ Mbps connections. Japan came second with 54 percent while the U.S.
came in a distant 7th with just 36%.
