Brands Widely Expected to Act Environmentally Responsible
On April 22nd, people around the world celebrate Earth Day to appreciate nature and raise awareness to the preservation of the earth's beauty. Founded in the United States in 1970, Earth Day became a global phenomenon in 1990. A recent poll conducted by GfK shows how important eco-friendly behaviour has become to consumers around the world. Not only do 63 percent of the respondents say that they feel guilty when doing something that is not environmentally friendly, the majority of people also expects companies and brands to act responsibly with respect to the environment, as our chart nicely illustrates.
