This infographic brings together NASA and NOAA data to show the relentless increase of CO2 in the Earth's atmosphere since 1958. Back then, there was a measured 314.62 parts per million and since then there hasn't been a single year in which the figure hasn't increased.
Today, we're firmly above the 410 mark and still rising. Because the earliest measurement for 1958 as published by NASA relates to March, the figures shown for the following years are for the same month. More recent data is available for 2019 though - in October there were 411.93 parts per million measured in our atmosphere.
