Distribution of museum ticket sales in Italy 2023, by booking channel
According to a March 2023 study, most museums, monuments, and archaeological sites in Italy sold their tickets directly at their location. While admissions sold at the institution's box office accounted for 77 percent of ticket sales, museums' websites or apps only represented seven percent of all bookings.
