Peru: key figures on Yape 2021
In 2017, Banco de Crédito del Perú launched the digital payments app Yape. By the end of 2021, the Peruvian app had registered over eight million users and roughly 1.6 million affiliated businesses. Furthermore, more than 50 percent of online purchases in the South American country were paid for using digital payment methods.
