Peru: number of small & medium-sized enterprises affiliated to Yape 2020-2021
In June 2020, there were approximately 200 thousand small and medium-sized enterprises affiliated to Yape, a fintech launched by Banco de crédito del Perú in 2017. As of December of that year, Yape was used by about 761 thousand SMEs in Peru, an increase of 280.5 percent in just six months. By the end of 2021, Yape increased its SME base to 1.6 million.
