As of November 8, 2021, approximately 21 million COVID-19 swab tests had been carried out in Singapore. Mass swab testing has been one of the ways that Singapore had managed to keep the COVID-19 pandemic under control. To reduce the risk of transmission for medical personnel, Singapore had introduced the use of robots to conduct the COVID-19 swab tests.
