A journalist, public figure, and a former presidential candidate, Xenia Sobchak was the highest earning Instagram blogger in Russia from May 2019 to April 2020. The second most successful Instagram account by earnings belonged to a singer Polina Gagarina.

On request by Forbes, WhoIsBlogger analyzed accounts of Russian Instagram bloggers with over two million followers. Of them, 33 bloggers with the largest number of advertising publication per year were selected. Then, Forbes collected data on costs of placing different publication types from bloggers themselves, experts, and blogger agencies. Based on those estimates, Forbes identified 15 bloggers that earned the most. The source also considered that bloggers place some posts on a barter basis.
