Music and gaming among the preferred videos to watch
Roughly 66 percent of Dutch respondents indicated they watched music videos on YouTube. All age groups indicated this was their preferred type of content on the video platform. Gaming videos, on the other hand, were something for Generation Z: 31 percent of the respondents between 14 and 21 years old said they watched game streams online. Roughly 21 percent of Millennials (22-36 years) said they did this.
What about vlogging in the Netherlands?
Several entries in this ranking, such as EnzoKnol (in eight place) and DagelijksHaaDee (18th) are vloggers. The channels run by these influencers rank among the Dutch-speaking YouTube channels with the highest number of subscribers. 21 percent of respondents in 2018 indicated they watched a vlog, with Generation Z especially taking an interest in this type of online video.
