According to a survey conducted in August 2020, more than half of Brazilians who participated in the study said that spending time on social media had brought them some kind of happiness over the year. In addition, in Peru, the share of respondents stating to have found happiness in social network usage stood at 49 percent, compared to 47 percent in Mexico.
