During the first five months of 2020, the sales of video games in Mexico rose by more than 20 percent in value, when compared to the same period of the previous year. In May alone, sales of these products spiked at nearly 38 percent. As of that same month, 30 percent of survey participants in the North American country said that they were playing video games more often during the COVID-19 pandemic quarantine.
